Burned swamp section in Ihefu Swamp and dry Ndembera River channels during dry season (November 15, 2013). The dry river channel carrying water flowing from the upper right of the image to the swamp in the lower left, are draining water of the Ndembera River at N’giriama (Ruaha outlet). In recent years the river has ceased to be perennial due to increased irrigation activities around the Madibira Small-holder Irrigation Scheme 16.5km to the North-east.
