Zero Overflow detected on August 28, 2026

The 5m resolution timeseries of the new nafco headworks in the Mbarali River suggests the drying of the mbarali at the weir. Visual inspection of the remaining flow in main canal and downstream form the basis for the conclusion that the low flow from the river is now all diverted into the main canal and will be less than ~2cumecs.

Decrease Overflow Suspected on July 21, 2026

A clear decline in the flow channel downstream of the weir (see hr images) as compared with previous images. (june 2026).
